Open Steam and find the mod(s) you want in the Conan Exiles Workshop.
Click Subscribe on each mod.
This will download them to your single-player Conan Exiles installation — and it also means your client will be ready to join the server later.
Once Steam has finished downloading, find the .pak files:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\440900
440900 is Conan Exiles’ Steam App ID.
Each numbered folder inside corresponds to a mod’s Workshop ID.
Inside each folder is a .pak file — that’s the actual mod.
You only need the .pak files, not the numbered folders.
Pro tip: Keep a little “mod cheat sheet” of Workshop IDs and .pak names — it’ll save you pain later when updating or removing mods.
On your Conan Exiles server, go to:
/ConanSandbox
Create a folder named exactly:
Mods
Zip up your .pak files into one archive (faster to upload).
Upload the zip to /ConanSandbox/Mods using:
File Manager in your control panel (drag and drop), or
FTP for larger files or slower internet (resumable uploads).
Unzip the archive on the server.
modlist.txtThe server loads mods based on what’s listed in modlist.txt in /ConanSandbox/Mods.
Open a plain text editor and list each mod file like this:
*betterthralls.pak
*anothermod.pak
Each line = one mod.
Save the file as:
modlist.txt
Upload it to /ConanSandbox/Mods.
When the server starts, it’ll load everything in modlist.txt.
Join the game and enjoy your freshly-modded world.
